Risen Christ Lutheran School's Curriculum
Risen Christ Lutheran School’s curriculum has been approved by the State of Ohio. It meets the State of Ohio Content Standards as well as national standards provided by the various professional organizations as the International Reading Association, National Council for Teachers of English, National Association for Sport and Physical Education.
Likewise, Risen Christ offers instruction and training in God’s Word and Christian living. The Instruction received by children attending Risen Christ is Bible-based, with Christ as the center of Christian life and Christian education. Psalm 32:8 says "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you." Accordingly, to enhance the importance of a good spiritual beginning for every child, spiritual growth is encouraged through daily devotions and prayers.

SPANISH — Grade levels one through four utilize The Complete Book of Spanish by the American Education Publishing Company as its primary curriculum. This curriculum teaches children useful words and phrases and is filled with pictures to give clues to the meanings of Spanish words. Children learn vocabulary to describe things they encounter everyday in the classroom, in their homes, and in the world around them. This curriculum is supplemented with music from Spanish by Twin Sisters Productions. The kindergarten curriculum is Teach Me Spanish published by Teach Me, Inc. This is a musical series for beginners that includes useful words of everyday such as greetings, numbers, colors, days of the week, and family members. The curriculum has received awards by Parents’ Choice, Benjamin Franklin Award, and iParenting Media Award. |
